Her colorful, representational paintings are crisp and fresh, emphasizing careful design. She continually experiments with various color combinations, mixing colors on paper and palette, often layering transparent washes. Her current projects are inspired by her travels to Europe, Africa, and Asia.
Barbara’s “Asian Series I” -- inspired by travel to Japan -- is available through the Gate City Fine Arts Gallery in Old Town Pocatello. “Asian Series II” is in progress.

Fan Blossoms and Bamboo Thai Boatman
Watercolor Thai Boatman won a major award in the 2010 Idaho Watercolor Society's
12 x 10 unframed; 17 x 15.5 framed Annual Juried Exhibition. It is included in the IWS Traveling show comprised of the top twenty paintings from the exhibition, which will be shown at the Pocatello Art Center the month of October.
