Emily Rose (Dyches) Pugmire was born in 1979 in St. Lous, MO.  She has always had the desire to create and is grateful for supportive parents who allowed her to paint on her bedroom walls as a child.  After serving a mission in New Zealand from 2001-2002, she gained a strong desire to express her experiences through art.  When she returned home she focused her efforts on learning the fine art of oil painting.  This decision catapulted her into a series of precious opportunities and continues to bless her life. In 2008 she met her sweetheart Jared Pugmire while participating in Plein Air painting competitions in Utah.

Emily’s takes great pride in making her work inviting and pleasing to the eye.  Many of her paintings have spawned from personal experiences and have a sense of depth and symbolism within them. When asked what her best piece of art is she will give this answer, “The next one.” Her desire for excellence makes it hard for her to sign her artwork until she is completely happy with it.

Emily has participated in a number of competitions and art shows throughout the Western States where she has received awards and recognition.  She is currently working on two commissioned pieces which will be on tour as part of the “Art of the Resoration” exhibit later this year.  The website including information on this is: www.artoftherestoration.info/
